Rise Up Tour – Paklenica 2016

In two weeks’ time, a long holiday weekend in May is coming. We encourage you to spend it actively together with Millet brand in Paklenica. It is there, where Big Wall Speed Climbing Competition and the next stop on Millets Rise Up Tour are to take place.

Paklenica National Park, spreading in the south-eastern part of the Velebit mountains in Croatia, is well- known to all lovers of climbing. There, in Velika Paklenica gorge, famous 700-meter high wall Anica Kuk is located. Since 2000, during the May weekend, Big Wall Speed Climbing Competition Paklenica has been taking place, it is a competition in speed climbing on big walls of the gorge. The results achieved by the winners are very often mind-blowing.

If you like hiking, you also should not be bored in Paklenica. In the area, there are more than 150 km of marked hiking trails. In addition, Paklenica, near Arco, is a perfect place for climbing - for beginners as well as advanced climbers. Among the huge, beautiful walls with a diverse level of difficulty, everyone will find something interesting.

A trip to Paklenica, for Big Wall Speed Climbing Competition can also be a family trip. In addition to the competition for people over 18 years of age, climbing competitions for children will be held during the weekend, as well. Its a great opportunity to get children acquainted and perhaps make them fall in love with this wonderful sport!
