Z Camera - a sport camera with interchangeable optics

Z team has again decided to approach the subject of making sports movies and photos. A work on a new, small camera has began in 2013. - After years in the video industry, I have realized that most companies are much more interested in cutting their costs than investing in the development of new technologies and listening intently to the needs of the people – the origin of a Z project is explained by Jason Zhang, an engineer and inventor of Z Camera.

Z Camera is to ensure excellent photo and video quality without spending thousands of dollars on equipment. Model E1 of Z is the smallest camera, allowing you to shoot in 4K resolution, allowing also to use an interchangeable lenses system. E1 is equipped with WiFi, Bluetooth Low Energy and an image processor Ambarella A9. It allows you to easily capture video of cinema quality 4K (4096x2160) at 24 frames per second, or ultra-high 3840x2160 resolution at 30 frames per second with H.264 compression.

Advanced filters reduce noise and vibrations, allowing you to shoot at a very low light. ISO can be expanded up to 102400 level. The camera maintains high image quality up to 6400 ISO. Mounting for Micro 4/3 lenses allows you to use AF lenses made by Olympus, Panasonic Lumix, Leica or Sigma. The mounting system also works with MF lenses. As a result, instead of a bulky and heavy camera - you can bring E1, without giving up a wide selection of focal lengths. E1 has also a very important for traditionalists option of controlling the focus manually.

Applications for iOS and Android are already available in stores: Apple App Store and Google Play, they help in controlling the camera. They can make the ability to control the camera settings via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth 4.0 possible. You can also leave the camera in a standby mode and wake up the camera remotely. The majority of other sports camera models do not have this function. When taking aerial photographs by a drone - the camera can also be configured remotely, so you can change its parameters without the necessity of its landing.
