Pumpkin not only good for Halloween

October is the perfect month to buy a pumpkin. Not only because of the upcoming Halloween but most of all, to find out what it tastes like pumpkin. Vegetable is ideal for anyone with digestive problems. Pumpkin is easy to digest and does not cause allergies. It is therefore necessary what should be included in the Allergy menu!

Pumpkin, thanks to the ballast substances, prevents constipation. The potassium content makes it disappear due to swelling. Pumpkin also prevents excessive accumulation of body water. It is also a valuable source of beta-carotene, which acts inflammatory and antineoplastic. Also it delays the aging process, it provides good vision and healthy skin.

The more pumpkin is orange - the more beta-carotene it contains. Such variation is, among other things muscatel French. Additionally, it is a source of B vitamins, folic acid, phosphorus, and magnesium. Pumpkin has a sweet taste, so you do not need her too long to convince children.

Pumpkin serve you in many ways. It can be not only cook soup-cream, but also used as an additive to risotto, pancakes, pasta or casseroles. Ideal also they taste dumplings stuffed with pumpkin and pumpkin ... sweets.

Pumpkin Dumplings – recipe:

1 kg of wheat flour
2 eggs
2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons butter or oil
1 and 1/2 cup of warm water

1 kg intensely ripe pumpkin
750 g cottage cheese
6 tablespoons olive oil
4 teaspoons dried rosemary
salt and pepper

Peel a pumpkin of the skin and cut out the seeds, cut the pieces and bake, sprinkled with rosemary at 180 degrees for 20 minutes. Remove a pumpkin from the oven and mix it together with rosemary. Mix it with cottage cheese, season with salt and pepper.

Knead the dough with all the ingredients. Divide into portions, roll out each one into thin pancakes, cut out circles. On each of them put a portion of stuffing and glue the edges of the dough. Boil in salted water with a little oil. Dumplings can be eaten with butter, sour cream, kefir, or simply - the same. You can also freeze - for the worse, winter times.
