Winter this year dont really spoil us. Use, while you can, from white madness. Who knows, when spring wont welcome us faster, than we thought. If you have enough of skiing, and you slowly plan a spring vacation or may picnic – we propose to you something in style of slow and eco. Wonderful place where ecological solutions, simplicity and closeness to nature makes us full of energy and will to new actions, after winter. You should definitely visit a Casas on Areia in Portugal.

Casas on Areia is a project, which was created in year 2010. It consists of 4 houses, built accordingly to old traditions and "soul" of this place. Two of them were built out of wood and reed, rest of them – with white concrete. All of their roofs are covered with thatch.

Casas on Areia is to be found after an hour drive from Lisbon, in Comporta region. Although civilization is not so far from there, this place makes time go slower. Elegant and extremely simple, minimalistic insides, dust under feet even inside of building makes, that your contact with nature will be unlimited. You wont find a useless stuff here, but there are enough of them, to enjoy comfort, peace and beautiful views around.
Comporta is a region known from beautiful beaches and rice fields. Its considered for one of the best places in Portugal for bird watching.
