Are you planning a holiday? Are you dreaming about beautiful views, peace, seafood and good wine? We recommend a trip to Portugal, and more precisely - Comporta region.

It is here where an amazing Manuela Aires Mateus project has been created. The architect decided to renew two old fishing huts and create a unique place to relax from them. Cabanas No Rio is an oasis of peace, a place where you can take a break from everyday rush and enjoy the silence and nature.

Each hut has 14 square meters. And though they are small – still they are very cozy but at the same time equipped with everything you will need. There is a kitchen, bathroom, two chairs, a comfortable bed and a terrace with a breathtaking view of the Sado river. Manuela Aires Mateusa took care of everything, including the transport of the guests. There is a private pontoon nearby the terrace, prepared for residents of fishing huts.

Although the huts are located in a remote area, still you will not be quite cut off from access to information. There is also a free WiFi and iPod docking station.

Cabanas No Rio is located in the Comporta region, an hours drive south from Lisbon. This region is known for its beautiful beaches and rice fields. It is also considered as one of the best places in Portugal for bird watching.
