Apartment Coffee with milk in Zakopane is a place for the lovers of active holidays , good coffee and eco-design. Cosy, luxurious interior has been designed to make the rest in the mountains comfortable. Apartment Coffee with milk has been designed for the most demanding tourists visiting Zakopane. The apartment has 51m2 and has been designed for 4 people. – It was a real challenge for us to set up this apartment for tourists in Zakopane.

From the beginning we were sure of one thing – flats must be ecological, after all Zakopane now promotes the slogan EkoZakopane – says Piotr Slowinski from Snow & Fun – Ecology, in our understanding, means the respect for the world around us. And recycling, naturally. Therefore, in the apartment "Coffee with milk", most additions are made from coffee hopsacks.

Just like in case of the sako recline, the authors of the apartment replace the ecological leather by ecological hopsack. Wastes after sewing were used as picture frames, on which you can admire the Tatra mountains. The idea of recycling is expressed by the lighting. Lamps over the wooden table top, separating a circulation area from the living room, were made of old milk bottles from the era of communism. – We have been looking for bottles for a couple of months on auction sites and antique fairs.

It is true that you can buy exactly the same new bottles, but it was not our intention – explains Piotr Slowinski – These old have specific features from the usage, and the glass is thick and solid. An old milk can is used as a vase for catkins in the apartment, we were lucky to find a beautiful milk can with a blue cow on it, an old milk jug or a coffee can many years old in order to decorate the apartment.

The authors of the project also have chosen bamboo wood floors. They are also as hard and durable as traditional Polish oak, but bamboo grows seven years , while the oak can be cut down after 100 years. Natural bamboo colour fits perfectly to the bed in the bedroom, it was handmade by GMO Design. – We chose them because the wonderful, natural design is accompanied by the respect to the environment. GMO Design furniture not only are made of old wood, but also from the bargeman boats. Wood ages as noble as wine. The older it is, the more time you see on it, the better it is. When properly restored and protected it can become the true ornament of the interior – says Piotr Slowinski .

Good design in Coffee with milk is also characterized by the most twisted Plumen light bulb in the world in the dining room. Plumens do not require any additional framing, they are the pride of their own. Similarly, bathroom also has such a minimalist character, where grey, concrete tiles have real waves. The bathroom is very cosy, thanks to the white elements – the glass heater and white fittings. In the hall guests will find the word " Hello", which is ... a hanger designed and made by Lumikki .

Apartment Coffee with milk is designed so that 4 people could comfortably rest there. Chałubiński Residence, where the apartment is located, is situated in the centre of Zakopane, so the car once parked in the underground garage - could be there as long as you stay in the Tatra mountains. Building is not far from Krupówki, it is just a 5 minute walk, it takes 15 minutes to the Wielka Krokiew, 5 minutes to Aquapark, and 25 minutes to get to the Kasprowy Wierch cable car.

In 2012, Tatra National Park was visited by over three million tourists. In Zakopane, where 28 000 people live, during the season there are 40 000 vehicles. Mostly they are tourists who in summer come to the Tatra Mountains to climb, in winter – they use the ski slopes and cross-country trails. The important thing while booking accommodation in the Tatra mountains is to check if this place exists. Every year, even several hundred people have been deceived and they pay for accommodation in buildings that have been never even built.
