Higher temperatures, change in weather conditions, surface conditions are the signs of spring. This is also the time of check-ups after the winter, tire changing and an increasing number of motorcyclists on the road. Trainers from Renault Safe Driving School remind us what each driver should keep in mind during spring.

Air conditioning
Check-ups of air conditioning and changing cabin air filter should be performed at least once a year, and time after winter is the best one. Temperatures are rising and in the spring and summer we often use the air conditioning, so it is better now to apply substance of antifungal activity. Thanks to it, you can remove moulds, fungi, mites and bacteria that have accumulated in winter.

Tires
For those who do not use all-season tires, spring is the time to change tires. When the average temperature is above 7°C, it is very important to replace winter tires with the summer ones. Winter tires do not cope with higher temperatures and the braking period of the car can be significantly longer. Besides, the winter tires used at higher temperatures are getting worn-off much faster.

Pedestrians and motorcyclists
Pedestrians, cyclists and motorcyclists are the most vulnerable to injuries in road collisions and crashes. In spring and summer period, car drivers should pay special attention to that kind of road users, because then on the roads there are much more of them. After winter, drivers have got their habit of not seeing two-wheel vehicles in their rear-view mirrors. Yet, it is one of the key elements of a car equipment, which allows us to see and estimate a distance of the motorcycle and the speed at which it is approaching. As far as the cyclists on the road are concerned, it is essential to maintain sufficient distance during overtaking and to pay attention to the bicycle paths, which often cross roads. While overtaking motorcyclists, cyclists or so recently popular scooter riders, keep a minimum distance of 1 meter - the trainers from Renault Safe Driving School advice.
