Linden Tea

It is usually difficult to avoid autumn colds. But you don’t have to use medicines from the pharmacy to fight them. Just use natural products and they work well in the fight against infections.

It is not a secret that in the fight against autumn colds, practices of our grandmothers are the best and the most effective. Warming tea with linden will be perfect, as soon as you start to feel cold. Linden is a kind of long-lived trees, belonging to the Tilioideae subfamily. This tree grows up even to 40 meters and it blooms in summer. In this case it is the linden flowers that are herbal raw material. Usually they are collected in the early stages of flowering, during dry days. The collected flowers should be dried in a dark, well-ventilated room.

Linden flowers contain organic acids, mineral salts, vitamin C, PP, flavonoids, phytosterols, as well as mucilage and tannins. Linden has a diaphoretic, relaxant and diuretic properties, it also stimulates the secretion of gastric juices. Linden tea has a beneficial effect on the functioning of the respiratory system, it is also recommended for those with intellectual work, in states of fatigue, tiredness and poor concentration.

The method of preparation of the linden tea:
Pour 1 glass of boiled but not hot water to 2 teaspoons of dried flowers. Infuse it 5-10 minutes, covered. Drink it cold or warm.
