Liquid cleaners for floors another for furniture and windows, gel to disinfect the toilet. One washing powder for white clothes, the other for black ones, and the third one for color fabrics. Everyday each of us buys countless cleaning products.
Do we need them so desperately and are they really effective? Or is it not rather the result of an effective marketing and advertising of the large and powerful enterprises, which affects our everyday lives to such an extent. We buy without thinking. After the empty shelves in the era of Peoples Republic of Poland (PRL) the era of consumerism has come. We believe that we should buy the latest products and in the large quantities.
None of us think about it: do we need so many chemical products? Are they really effective and how do they affect the environment? Not to mention our household budgets.Keeping the household clean do not require having several cleaners. The less chemicalproducts in our houses we have, the better it is. Less chemicals enter the environment, water and our food.
The less detergents are used, the less production of plastic packaging and trouble with their disposal will be and thus the lower energy consumption will occur.What shall we do to make the house sparkle and cleaning ecological? It is enough to use some, proven, natural products such as borax, soda, vinegar, citric acid, vegetable soap in the fight against dirt. We should also buy natural essential they have not only the aromatherapy properties, but also antibacterial functions.
Borax and baking soda will be extremely valuable in eco cleaning. You can use these products to clean the whole house. They absorb odors perfectly. Soda removes the smell of garlic and onion from your hands and cutting boards, it softens water, cleans all kitchen utensils and prevents from rusting.
Borax works well as a bleach, especially in the struggle against stains from wine, coffee and tea as well as a means to repel wasps, hornets and insects. Spirit vinegar removes limescale, grease, mold and sludge from the coffee and tea. It gives shine while washing windows and mirrors.
To minimize the smell, it is enough to add to the vinegar solution just a few drops of essential oils such as tea tree oil. It is a strong antiseptic, thanks to it, you can not only get rid of the smell of vinegar, but also bacteria and viruses. All of these products are ecological wonders that can easily compete with the best detergents. Try it yourself and see that the effects of your eco cleaning will be spectacular!
